Review for V50 Snow / Light Material Bucket
Love it!

New Virnig 8′ snow bucket for the Bobcat T595. We’re servicing a new HOA year-round, and this will be the main machine on site. It’s our 2nd snow bucket from you guys. Best bucket, in our opinion, on the market. Love the slits in the top for sighting our edge for getting close to garages and such.

Snow/Light Material Bucket Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT BUCKET WIDTH SHOULD I PURCHASE?

Typically, the bucket width should be wider than the tires or tracks of the loader. The attachment should also have a recommended loader capacity rating that matches or is lower than the loader lift capacity.

To prevent potential overloading issues, compare the loader’s lifting capacity and tipping weight to the weight of the attachment plus the estimated weight of a load. Different materials will change the estimated weight of a load. Use caution with dense items like rocks.

Contact your local dealer or Virnig at 800-648-2408 for more information regarding proper width.

WHAT IS THIS BUCKET’S BACK ANGLE AND HOW DOES IT AFFECT PERFORMANCE?

This Virnig Bucket has a 66 degree back angle. The bucket back angle affects the rollback and dump angles of a skid steer. If the angle on the back is too large the bucket may not roll back enough, and if there’s not enough back angle, the bucket may not dump properly. The higher or more vertical the back angle the more volume the bucket is able to hold.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE V40, V50, AND V60 SNOW/LIGHT MATERIAL BUCKET?

V40, V50, and V60 series Snow/Light Material Buckets are designed to serve different purposes and machine sizes. Naturally, some materials and features will be different depending on the model. For a side by side analysis, see the table under the “Compare” tab.

CAN I GET A SNOW BUCKET WITHOUT VISIBILITY WINDOWS?

Yes, Virnig V20, V50, and V60 Snow/Light Material Buckets can be ordered without windows.

Note: V40 Snow/Light Material Buckets do not have visibility windows.

WHAT EDGE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE V40 SNOW/LIGHT MATERIAL BUCKET?

Virnig Manufacturing recommends using only standard Bolt-On Edges with the Snow/Light Material Bucket, but Serrated Edges can be installed if desired.

ARE ANY OF THESE BUCKETS CONSIDERED A “1-YARD” BUCKET?

The 72” V50 Snow Bucket (MSHV72) measures 26.6 cubic feet, or roughly 1 cubic yard, struck capacity.

WHAT MATERIALS ARE VIRNIG V40 SNOW/LIGHT MATERIAL BUCKETS SUITED FOR?

The high capacity design makes them ideal for moving snow and granular materials such as mulch, grain, wood shavings, and fertilizer (See next question).

CAN I USE A SNOW/LIGHT MATERIAL BUCKET TO MOVE FERTILIZER?

Yes, the V50 and V60 series buckets can be ordered without windows and the bucket should be ordered with full welds instead of stitch welds to prevent corrosion and leakage. These options must be specified when ordering.

CAN I GET A HEAVIER VERSION OF THE V40 BUCKET BUILT?

The V60 Utility Bucket is dimensionally similar to the V40 Snow/Light material bucket, but is built heavier. With more gusseting, wear bars, weld, and steel thickness, the V60 Utility Bucket is a suitable heavy duty option for customers.

Virnig Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO I PURCHASE VIRNIG ATTACHMENTS?

WHERE CAN I FIND PRICING INFORMATION?

WHAT TYPE OF ATTACHMENT INTERFACE/HOOKUP DOES VIRNIG USE?

All Virnig skid steer attachments are manufactured with a universal mount to fit most skid steer loaders. The mounting frame is built to ISO 24410 and SAE J2513 standards.

All Virnig mini skid steer attachments are manufactured with a Toro®/mini universal mount, Bobcat® mount, or ASV® mount.

WHAT IS THE SETUP TIME FOR A VIRNIG ATTACHMENT?

Most Virnig attachments are ready to work right off the pallet.

To minimize setup time, Virnig Manufacturing requires the machine brand and model to be listed in every order for attachments with hydraulic components. This ensures proper hose length, routing, and coupler sizing. In addition, all hydraulic Virnig Attachments are tested for leaks and proper operation before leaving the factory. There may be specific scenarios in which additional setup time will be required.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I GET REPLACEMENT PARTS?

Most parts for Virnig skid steer attachments are available in-stock and can be shipped as early as the same day the order is received. Fabricated and back ordered parts are available with a reasonable lead time. Virnig uses several shipping options to provide timely and cost effective delivery to customers.

Check with a local Virnig dealer for replacement part availability.

WHAT WARRANTY DOES VIRNIG OFFER?

All Virnig parts and attachments are warranted for one year from the end user’s date of purchase, or the dealer’s date of first rental/demonstration. If the warranty period has expired, a sales receipt or first rental slip will be required for warranty consideration.

WHY DOES VIRNIG USE NITROSTEEL® CYLINDER RODS?

Virnig uses NitroSteel® cylinder rods because they are a superior performing alternative to chrome plating. The finish offers improved corrosion resistance and better grease retention.

Chrome plated cylinder rods can flake or pit and destroy the seals or other internal components; resulting in downtime and expensive repairs.

A NitroSteel® rod will perform better and increase the service life of a cylinder, making it the cost-effective choice. Learn more about the benefits of the NitroSteel® process.
