V50 LOW PROFILE DIRT BUCKET FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT WIDTH SHOULD I PURCHASE?

The bucket width should be wider than the tires or tracks of your skid loader. The attachment should also have a recommended loader capacity rating that matches or is lower than the loader lift capacity.

To prevent potential overloading issues, compare the loader’s lifting capacity and tipping weight to the weight of the attachment plus the estimated weight of a load. Different materials will change the estimated weight of a load.

Contact your local dealer or Virnig at 800-648-2408 for more information regarding proper width.

WHAT EDGE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE V50 LOW PROFILE DIRT BUCKET?

The Virnig V50 Dirt Bucket can be paired with a Bolt-On Edge, Serrated Edge, Toothbar Over Weld-On Edge, Toothbar Over Weld-On and Bolt-On Edge, or Weld-On Teeth.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF THE V50 GRADING BEND OPTION?

The Grading Bend, located at the heel of the bucket, allows better and easier grading in reverse compared to a standard profile skid steer bucket. Additionally the V50 Grading Bend comes with a Rolled Inside for easier material cleanout.

WHY DO THE WEIGHTS VARY BETWEEN MODELS?

The weights differ because the 72-84” V50 Standard Dirt Bucket shells are 1/16” thicker than the 72”-84” V50 Grading Bend Dirt Bucket shells.

WHAT IS THIS BUCKET’S BACK ANGLE AND HOW DOES IT AFFECT PERFORMANCE?

Virnig V50 Low Profile Dirt Buckets have a 66 degree back angle. The bucket back angle affects the rollback and dump angles of a skid steer. If the angle on the back is too large the bucket may not roll back enough, and if there’s not enough back angle, the bucket may not dump properly. The higher or more vertical the back angle the more volume the bucket is able to hold.

Virnig Frequently Asked Questions

WHY DOES VIRNIG USE NITROSTEEL® CYLINDER RODS?

Virnig uses NitroSteel® rods because they are a superior performing alternative to chrome plating. The finish offers improved corrosion resistance and better grease retention.

Chrome plated cylinder rods can flake or pit and destroy the seals or other internal components; resulting in downtime and expensive repairs.

A NitroSteel® rod will perform better and increase the service life of a cylinder, making it the cost-effective choice.

WHAT IS THE SETUP TIME FOR A VIRNIG SKID STEER ATTACHMENT?

Most Virnig attachments are ready to work right off the pallet.

To minimize set up time, Virnig Manufacturing requires the machine brand and model to be listed on each order for attachments with hydraulic components to ensure proper hose length, routing, and coupler sizing. In addition, all hydraulic Virnig Attachments are tested for leaks and proper operation before leaving the factory. There may be specific scenarios in which additional setup time will be required.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I GET REPLACEMENT PARTS?

Most parts for Virnig skid steer attachments are available in-stock and can be shipped as early as the same day the order is received. Fabricated and back ordered parts are available with a reasonable lead time. Virnig uses several shipping options to provide timely and cost effective delivery to customers.

Check with a local Virnig dealer for replacement part availability.
